HE Turbine Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") is a production base for two of the 156 key construction projects in China during the "First Five Year Plan" period - steam turbines for power generation and JC main drive. It is a large state-owned backbone enterprise for manufacturing large power equipment, with high-efficiency, environment-protection and clean coal-fired steam turbine, nuclear power turbine, JC drive, heavy-duty gas turbine, 30MW gas compressor package, industrial steam turbine, solar power generation system equipment, energy storage equipment, control and protection system equipment, and auxiliary equipment as leading products, and supply products with performance ranking in the industry.
Harbin Turbine Works, the former of the Company, was constructed on March 17th, 1956, put into production on December10th, 1958, and renamed to Harbin Turbine Co., Ltd after shareholding reform in October, 1994. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Harbin Electric Co., Ltd under control of Harbin Electric Corporation. By taking the historical mission of “bearing the hope of national industry and demonstrating the excellence of China power, the Company has make numerous Firsts both at home and abroad, leaving a solid footprint in the development history of the electromechanical industry in the Republic of China and making important contributions to promoting the development of China's equipment manufacture industry. At present the Company covers a land of 556,000 m2 and has a staff of about 4,000 persons, first-class R&D capabilities and production power with 30000MW annual comprehensive production capabilities. Its products spread over nearly 400 power plants in 30 provinces, accounting for over 1/3 of domestic installed capacity of thermal power, and are exported to over 30 countries and regions, wining wide praise for its advanced technology, flexible start-up, safety and reliability, good economic effect, high efficiency and excellent service, and bringing brightness and power to the world.
